TCC Update August 5th 2009Posted Thursday, August 06, 2009 by TCC Hi Stallions as the summer slips away I hope you are eagerly awaiting the beginning of 09 football season, or in “Stallion” lingo “Chomping at the Bit”. The boys and coaches have been training like crazy to make this a fantastic season on the field and it is up to us as parents and families to help ensure it is a fantastic season all round. Here are a few dates to put on the calendar(they will also be posted on the web site very soon)
1.Saturday August 22nd Parent/Player BBQ, meeting, and player photos.We will hold this event in between the two practices scheduled for that day, so we will begin with the photos at 11.30am, Parent Meeting at 1pm and BBQ to follow, resuming practice at 3.45pm 2.Saturday August 29th Scrimmages. 3.Friday August 28th final day for Program Ads to be submitted. 4.Thursday Sept. 3rd. First Game of the Season away, against Godinez but being played at Segerstrom High School. (2301 W Macarthur Blvd,Santa Ana, CA 92704-7168 (714) 241-5000) PLEASE try to encourage your players to get out there and sell Program Ads,and Banners. We have not had a great response from our teams as yet and in order for Coach Gibson to keep the costs of playing football at the $500 rate, we MUST ensure that every player does his part to raise the money .All player Fees of $500 must be paid by the end of the summer therefore if you are relying on Fundraising to help cover the fees, the boys need to be out there selling in the next few weeks..
